May 14th-16th-Logan's first beach trip

-the 14th-
Just arrived to the condo, hanging out before we go to the Outlet Mall.

like the festive couch?
"Come on people, lets go to the pool or something!!"
While we were at the Outlets :)
Getting stuff ready for the pool & hanging out.
Check out that bottom..lol.
Makes everything a jungle gym :)
-the 15th-
Getting ready to go out to the pool
First time in the pool :) He loved it!
So much fun that he passed out as soon as we came inside.
Playing with daddy after his nap.
Then we were off to the beach!
ewwww, we saw like 10 jellyfish out on the beach.
sweet little sandy tootsies :)
He wasn't a huge fan of the sand, but otherwise seemed to love his first time at the beach.
We went to Broadway at the beach to eat at Joe's crab shack for dinner
He was so silly at dinner!
-the 16th-
Good morning munchkin!
Look who we ran into :)
We met up with my mom (who was there with some friends) and went to the pool & lazy river at her hotel & walked on the beach.  It was a lot of fun & silly me forgot to bring my camera to her pool, but at least we got a pic of them together.

It rained cats & dogs the whole way home, thankfully we had a 2 liter bottle for Logan to play with.  Some people may laugh but regardless of how many toys we buy him a 2 liter bottle will keep him content for much longer! lol.

May 13th

Can we say future Charlotte Bobcat?? My son loves to play basketball and it's the cutest thing ever to watch!  He makes a basket each time anticipating my cheerleader chats "woohoo, Logan's number one!" "go, Logan, go!" "yayyyyy", knowing that he is going to have the mama grinning from ear to ear.  I love that he is all boy & is already interested in sports.  I would love nothing more than to be the mom cheering on her son at the high school basketball games!

Excuse our mess of a living room in the pictures, I think we had every toy out in the floor today.  Check out little man racking up the points on his little tikes goal.
Makes you wanna say "woo hoo go, Logan go!!" huh? :)

I'm going to be late on my next few posts because we are going to the beach this weekend.  I'll be sure to take tons of pic's of little Logan's pudgy piggies in the sand & stuff.  I'm really excited because this will be his first beach trip; the first of many because our families are a bunch of beach bums & he will be spending many summers with sandy pudgy piggies!  For the occasion I bought a new bathing suit to fit my new mommy body.  I'm not going to lie, I'm not too fond of my new mom-bod, but I am very fond of this cure little number so I plan to rock it out!
so, see ya on Sunday evening with updates & pictures galore :)

May 12th

Why, hello Wednesday.  I've been quite tickled about Wednesday for a few days now.  I knew that on Wednesday I would get to meet a JM friend of mine, which is splendid, at IKEA, which is fantastic!  For the followers who don't already know JM, short for Justmommies.com, is a mommy forum site I'm on.  Kelly (said JM friend) is from Kansas & was in Charlotte, NC so we took full advantage of our closeness & planned to meet up.

I had so much fun today!  Kelly was so sweet & fun to hangout with, I wish we lived close enough to get together on a more regular basis!  Kelly's kids are so precious, if Caleb (3 yrs.) & Zoe (9.5 mos) could have fit in my back pocket I would have totally snuck them home, sweet as pie those two are!  We took bocoodles of pictures so enjoy a few :)

Also, IKEA rocks my socks.  We got a huge play "road" rug, a organizer basket, a knife set, 2 pot holders, an oven mitt & a cheese grater for less than $40!!!  I think I love you Wednesday, you were really awesome!

May 11th

Logan's new favorite toys are his wooden blocks.  He loves to taste them, throw them, make noise with them, put them in & out (and in and out and in and out) of his little plastic bucket...these things get some huge playtime.
Check out that focused expression while playing with those blocks & bucket.
I think he was quite pleased that all of his little blocks were accounted for :) such the little professor.
From the thought bubble of Logan :)
"I spy a kitty cat paw under that door"
"Yep without a doubt a kitty cat paw.  Oliver, you scamp always shutting yourself in rooms."
"Now who is that handsome baby in the refection?"
"I'm not sure what makes daddy think he is going to get this remote back, I'm claiming it with my slobber!"
"Maybe if I show mommy my cute face she will share her animal crackers with me"
....with that face the baby sure did score himself some animal crackers ♥

May 9th

Today I celebrated my first Mother's Day :)
I can't believe it's Mother's Day.  That means it's May.  The second Sunday of May, which means we don't have too much longer until May 21st, the day that we go to meet a photographer & take Logan's 1 year pictures.  Which sends both excitement and disbelief to my brain to even say "1 year pictures".
Well, then I get the pictures back & it's time to get his 1st birthday party invitations made.  Then it's the middle of June & time to send of those freshly made invitations.  Then the last week of June will be right around the corner and we will be on our first family vacation to Orlando, FL.  Then we come back & it's JULY!  July 3rd to be exact, one day before my birthday which is one day before Logan's birthday...then he is ONE year old! Eeeekkk....this goes by too dang fast!

I know it's not long until my little man is one, I know that from his development, he is dangerously close to one.  He is teetering on precious little feet that use to be tip toes but are now flat footed steps.  He is stepping from object to object, letting go just long enough for him to make a step or two unassisted making me hold my breathe with worry & simultaneously making me the proudest mama on the block.  He mutters things like "mama" "dada" "baba" (meaning boob I guess because he says it when he wants to nurse..lol) "oreeeoooo" (our dogs name) & "i luhh ooo" (I love you ♥ ) on the regular and knows what they mean.  He waves bye-bye, gives kisses, dances, plays peek-a-boo and melts hearts.
Yep, one is so very close now.

May 8th

Since it's late & I know there is noooo way either of our moms are going to be looking at the blog before tomorrow, I'm going to show off their Mother's Day gifts :)  I made a memory box & some coasters for each mom.   It was really simple & I think they will love them!

Here's my mom's stuff.  I made the coasters then coated them down with a sealer so there will be no water damage to the pictures.  We decorated to memory box with some Logie tootsies, make that squished Logie tootsies.  I think it's cute even though its crooked & smudged, adds character ya know?  Then for a finishing touch I made the fabric flower out of some old pajama pants, lol.
I'm really excited to give the gifts :)  It's been a while since I've done something crafty & it was a lot of fun putting these together!

I guess my little man knew that it was Mama's Day tomorrow because I got some major slobbery sugar today ♥  There is nothing sweeter (& messier) than baby sugars!!  I love Mother's Day :)
