March 31st

Logan loves his food, well should I say MY food because everything I eat he has to taste test it for me :)  He's a pretty big fan of grits for breakfast & in all of the yumminess there is a ton of cuteness with his extremely messy face. (btw, I love that little onsie he is wearing, it says "good looks: courtesy of mom <3 oh baby gap you win me over with all of the mommy love onsies!)
After breakfast Logan was determined to get my camera, seriously determined (& seriously cute) excuse his messy milk face :)
& we ended our day with this sweetness & silliness

March 29th

Well it's a fact, little Logan has an upper respiratory virus & a cold :(  His doctor said that there isn't really any medication we can give him at this age, but it is sounding like he is beginning to clear out the congestion.  As any child would, Logan acted as if he wasn't even sick at the doctors office...I know all moms understand the "but I promise you, my child is really sick (as child runs around laughing, smiling & acting so NOT sick)" conversation that you end up having with that doctor.  Logan weighed 19 pounds even & was a good little boy the whole doctors visit!

When we came home we had a snack, Logan's new favorite...raw veggies!  He is now a fan of broccoli & cucumbers.  I guess with breastfeeding I seem to 'snack' a lot (because I am *always* hungry, I feel like I am pregnant again) & I usually always let Logan taste a little of what I'm having.  To my surprise Logan is actually a fan of the green stuff, where as his daddy is a meat & potatoes kind of guy.

Logan has been waving for a while now but just began associating that waving with saying "bye-bye"...adorable!  I swear he amazes me more and more on a regular basis.  He is also "clapping" these days, which looks more like a rolling motion...adorable times two!  I caught a little video of his new waving skills.

& I treated myself to some DD's today :) All because my coffee pot was dirty in my dishwasher.  I'm pretty thankful for that load of dirty dishes, the dunkachino & old fashioned doughnut was a much needed yummy for the day!

March 28th

Tomorrow can not come soon enough, I am so ready to see the doctor and see if there is anything at all that I can do to help my poor little sick booger.  I feel so bad hearing his nasty cough & congestion.  I think that mom's should have a magic "fix all" wand to just zap away colds, boo boo's, heartache, mean kids on the bus...you know, the works.

On  happier note my mom came to visit me & Logan today.  I am lucky enough to have *THE* most awesome amazing mom ever :)  She helped me get out of my "I don't want to finish unboxing the boxes that have been sitting in my dining room since October" funk.  We sorted, sifted & unboxed boxes, hung pictures, cleaned & just had some good mother-daughter (best friend) time.  I was amazed at our trash & recyclable pile once we were done!  I was housing a whole bunch of junk & now that it's gone it's like chopping all of my hair off :) awesome!  So a big huge thank you to my mom for coming over!  I feel so super lucky to be able to have your help just a 5 minute drive away!

Our recyclables & trash...it's nuts!
Sweet cheeks passed out :)
& I finally got a pic of that 7th tooth :)

March 27th

Tissues, Cuddles, Blankets, Snuggles, Books upon books read & lots of napping is how today went down.  Yep, you guessed it poor little man is feeling really under the weather.  I'm not sure if it is allergies or a cold, but I plan on taking him to the doctor on Monday.  Last night he was so congested that we maybe got 3 hours of sleep, in the living room, sleeping on our recliner :(  He is really snuggly, lovey & in great spirits even though he is sick, he was even waving at Muno off of Yo Gabba Gabba on the tv today: adorable!  Napping was much needed today, for both of us!  He crashed in his swing snuggled in a blanket with his mr.monkey while I was completely dead to the world on the couch.  I'm not use to this lack of sleep thing anymore, lol.
poor little man, you can see in his eyes that he is sick

Logan officially now has 7 teeth!! Whoever said it was okay for this little guy to sprout up like a weed needs to consult me first!  He has been using all 7 of those little toofies to bite everything!!!  Any advice on biting?  I'm all ears!  Here's our silly little dude with his million expressions.

March 23rd

Our good friend, might as well be family, Chew (Matthew) is home for a week from Alaska!!  He is in the Army & stationed up there for a while & it's been since last May since we have seen him!! WOOHOO :)  We had a cookout at the house tonight as a 'welcome home party' & I got the sweetest shot of Logan sleeping on his Pop :)

March 21st

Our little mover and shaker is getting to where he can crawl on the hardwoods more, rather than scoot like a little inch worm (which trust me, he still does A LOT, lol).  Is it just me or does he look like a little boy, not a baby in that outfit? He is growing up way too fast!

March 19th

We met daddy for lunch today & met Nat for shopping afterwards :)  I defiantly forgot to take pictures before we left and he was asleep when we got back so you get sleepy Logan pic's tonight!
I hope he never grows out of the sweet squishy-ness he is when he sleeps.  I just want to go "granny" on him and pinch & kiss all over those sweet cheeks!
Here's what I picked up for him today :) a cuuuuttteee baseball cap so he will be ready for all of daddy's softball games we have coming up, a shirt & a little itty bitty tie for him to wear on Easter :)  This kid is as handsome as it gets!

March 17th

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone :)  I hope everyone wore a bit-o-green today to keep from being pinched! Today was no different than any other day for us really; although, I can't wait for the years when I can make food shaped like shamrocks & dye everything green to see a big goofy smile on my little man's face.  It's little sweet holiday's like this that make me look forward to the sweet future of having a toddler who can have fun celebrating it.  But don't get me wrong, father time does NOT need to speed this already speedy process of growing up for my little Logan (pretty please!).  Even though we weren't decked out, we did wear green!  Once daddy arrived home from work we got ready & went to dinner with a friend/co-worker of Justin's & his wife.  It was a lot of fun, we look forward to seeing them more often because Justin signed up to be on the same softball league.  Softball means Spring!  Oh, Spring, how we welcome you!!!

Here's today's pictures. featuring Oliver (aka. the kitcat).  Today Logan cruised on over to where daddy keeps his xbox stuff and dumped over the basket holding the xbox accessories & proceeded to have a big time playing with the "big boy" toys.  He was pushing buttons on the controllers, sweeping the floor with the cables, even turned  on the xbox, lol.  The important part is that he had an accomplice, Oliver!!  Oliver apparently heard about all the fun Logan was having & decided he had to join in on it.  I wasn't planning on telling the daddy, but one of his buddies that he plays xbox live with already sold us out & told Justin that the xbox was on and he was on live earlier today.  Here are the partners in crime :)

March 12th-15th

We went to visit Justin's family in South Carolina this past weekend.  We were all extremely excited to go and visit, get out of the house, see family, do a little shopping & just enjoy our time there.  It was going to be an important trip for many reasons; It was going to be Logan's first time staying anywhere else besides our home, it was Justin's cousin Jessica's bridal shower & it was the anniversary of his Papa's death (so we wanted to go pay our respects).  Boy, we were wrong on how the weekend was going to go!  On the drive there it was raining cats and dogs. No...make that elephants & hippos.  It was ridiculous!  We pulled over on the highway under a bridge so I could calm little tired Logan down.  He couldn't sleep through the sound of the elephants & hippo's hitting the windows.

We finally get to SC, safe and sound and it begins.  The nasty stomach bug that attacked our little family :( YUCK.  All three of us were barfy & icky feeling the whole time we were down there.  Our sweet little Logie was sick, somewhere he had never been before & was just not himself so the people who never had met him before really didn't get to see the full Logan.  Our Friday night & Saturday consisted of: napping, pedalite, napping, numerous hours hovered over that porcelain potty, napping, gatorade, napping, more hovering & some sprite.  By Sunday morning we were all feeling like we had been hit by a bus, luckily none of us were still getting sick but boy were we exhausted!  Unfortunately we slept in & missed church, but once we got up & moving we did finally begin to feel a little better.

We relaxed & attempted to eat a little then went to visit his cousin Jessica to drop off our bridal shower gift.  It was nice seeing Jessica, we haven't seen her since our baby shower last May!  Shortly after the oohh's & ahh's of the wedding plans, a little chit chat about how adorable our Logan is & excitement to see one another we made our way back to the car to head home.  We all were so very glad to be home!  The suitcase needed to be unpacked & the laundry pile due for me on Monday was huge, but MAN there really is no place like home!  We slept like royalty squished in our comfy Queen size family bed of 3 & woke up feeling great!  I took very little pictures this weekend, but here's what I did get :)

Monday: at home & much happier playing (yes, that's a kids meal toy, the Hulk to be exact. Thanks Nat, he loves it..lol)
