2010 a year in pictures: May 2010

Brrrrr...I don't know who this Candace lady thinks she is, leaving me in the mailbox for DAYS while she & her family were at the beach...but she did. By the time she returned I was cold, wet & ready to break outta this brown contraption & spread my wings!

Finally FREE!! Ahhh, much much better! Just as I thought I was about to get started with all of the game playing & fun having I had planned, Candace informed me that it would have to wait until the morning...just got here and she is already busting my bubble! Her mini human Logan was resting, so I decided I too would catch a snooze while I waited for him to wake up.

"It's morning! It's morning! It's morning!" I buzzed around the house until everyone got up. These humans sleep late, geez! Finally the mini human was awake & it was time to play! I don't know what he thought of me at first but I know I thought he was rather 'friendly' right off the bat. He kissed all over me as if I was a big piece of firefly candy, I guess that is how mini humans get to know things...it seems like a trend with the past few that I have met.

Logan (the mini human) showed me some of his toys & we hung out playing while his mommy (that Candace lady) fixed us some lunch.

Apparently she has no clue what fireflies eat. I had to fend for myself because Logan's lunch plate was not appealing to me. How do these people eat this type of stuff?

After Logan ate I was ready to play again, but we had to go change Logan's cloth diaper thing. I guess the light on his bottom isn't trained, so they have to cover it up so he doesn't blink all the time. I sure am glad I have my light trained...diapers don't look like fun.

Or do they? He seems pretty happy with it on, huh?

After the changing of the diaper, it was time to nap again...I was okay with a nap, Logan wore me out playing earlier! When we woke up we were back to playing up a storm! We wanted to go play outside but the weather was a little icky, after being stuck in the wet cold mailbox the other night, I was more than happy to stay inside this time!

That night we went over to Logan's Mimi's house for dinner (still nothing there to eat for a firefly though...humph) Logan showed me some of his own cooking skills. Thank goodness firefly isn't in his diet otherwise I think I would have been a goner!

The next few days we were out & about a lot, running errands & such.
I was Logan's buddy in the car because he doesn't like car rides, I even tried on his "1st birthday" hat to try & make him laugh, I think I need one of these bad boys in my size!

I tried to help Candace with her lack of green thumb by giving her my planting advice. I think she will be okay, though no one gardens like me!

We went to Logan's daddy's softball game & cheered for him. I couldn't believe how fast those softballs flew through the air! I thought I was the quickest flying thing around but they sure give me a run for my money!

I met some more mini human friends of Logan's. I guess I need to start getting use to them wanting to kiss me when they first meet me huh? His friends were really nice & I had a lot of fun playing with their toys.

By this time Logan & I have became best buddies! Where he goes, I go. We even call ourselves ''partners in rime' after being sneaky together & getting into his mommy & daddy's new unopened (well, it was unopened before we got to it) fan.

It was finally warm & sunny enough for us to hangout outside. We had fun sitting out in the yard watching Logan's furry animal friend run around.

We even got to go to his Mimi's house for a pool party! Now this is what I'm talking about, some fun in the sun! Logan got in the pool while I lounged in the sun.

He came out of the pool to play with me but I quickly got pushed to the side for some watermelon, can't really blame the kid watermelon sure is yummy!

After his snack we 'drove' around in his boat. I sure wish that thing had seat belts because you have to watch this kid, he is a crazy driver!!

We had so much fun that we fell asleep as soon as we came inside!

It was all great fun but now I'm off to meet another mini human from the July 09 PR. I'm mentally preparing myself for the many more kisses I will get. :)

Memorial Day (weekend) cookout at moms :)

Can I just say that I love my little boys personality! He is the most lovable, silly little guy I have ever known...best part is that he KNOWS he is funny so he hams it up. He had everyone giggling at him today and you could just tell on his face that he was saying "Man, everybody loves me. I'm the coolest!" in his little thought bubble.

& he is the apple of my baby sisters eye, so he must be the coolest!

He grows so much day by day, saying new words & overcoming new obstacles. Today he stood all by himself for a good 30 seconds 3 or 4 times. I can't believe he stood by himself for the first time today!! I also can't believe that the first time that he wants to show off his new big boy standing trick is on CEMENT! Eeek..I guess I better learn now to let loose a little.
